John got his start in photography in 1997 as a photo major at Oklahoma City Community Collage. From 2002-2005 he worked at The Photoshop in Sherman Oaks, California where he refined his skills of digital editing and custom card making. Since 2006 he has worked full time at MotoPhoto in Oklahoma City taking pictures of babies, tots, families, pets, seniors, business, weddings, parties, graduations, and everything in between.

In 2007 John married Ashley Platt, a long time animal activist and tourguide at Norman's Little River Zoo. A good photographer in her own right, Ashley often backs John up at Weddings as a second camera. The two live in Norman, Oklahoma along with their many animals.
